Which carrier (mobile phone operator) works best in the mountains?

Kyivstar works fairly well. We cannot say the same about Life, MTS or any other carrier. With Kyivstar you’ll have a stable connection most of the time and even 4G in clear sunny weather 🙂

Some interesting places around?

There’s an incredible forest all around us where you can endlessly walk picking mushrooms and berries. 300 meters below at the mountain root there’s a river with picturesque rapids.

15 minutes by bus and a couple of kilometers by foot will lead you straight to the hiking trail on Goverla – the highest mountain in Ukraine (2061m)

In Verkhovyna (a town not far from us) there are museums of local Hutsul culture and magic. Hutsuls are very special people and you will have the opportunity to meet them in person. On Thursdays and Saturdays, Verkhovyna hosts fairs where you can buy all sorts of unique local foods and crafts. Also, there’s a lot of hot open-air pools around.

Are there any shops nearby?

In 15 minutes walking distance there’s a small shop, but not so much is offered there apart from bread, chocolates, and ice cream. Fruits and vegetables are rear.

The nearest supermarket is located in Verkhovyna (20 minutes by bus from us).
